Thank you, Renton, for all the great years!
We Serve the World

Our congregation has several ministry opportunities for members and friends. We participate in community events such as Renton River Days and Renton’s Crop Walk. Each year in November, members of the congregation assemble and donate boxes of toys, school supplies, toiletries and candy for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. The boxes are taken to a collection point by volunteers, and then the boxes are shipped by Samaritan’s Purse staff to needy children in developing countries.  We support Miriam's Mission House, serving orphans in Tanzania.  We support Partnering with Pastors, helping develop pastoral resources in Vietnam.  Locally, we provide support for Vision House, a transitional housing program for homeless families.

Building Upkeep

Our building serves the needs of three congregations and various other ministries. It’s an old and well-used building that needs regular upkeep and attention. The grounds are also in need of regular care. If your gift is building maintenance or gardening, we have a place for you on our Support Team.

Food Bank Collection

We collect food donations for the Salvation Army food bank. There is a bin in the coat room by the sanctuary door, and donations are also collected on the second Sunday of the month in worship service.
The Women’s Bible Study group also collects toiletries and household products for kits they assemble for the needy, and they welcome donations.  These donations go to local charities that serve homeless families.

Special Offerings

The church supports two special offerings each year: Christmas Joy Offering and One Great Hour of Sharing. Information is available on the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) website.

Other Ministries at Our Church

We welcome those that feel called to serve in any number of ways. We are always open to new ideas people have about how they would like to use their talents and energy in God’s service. Do you feel called to open the Word of God to children or youth? Can you check on shut-ins? Do you have a musical or dramatic gift that could be used in worship? Do you like to bake and would like to share goodies in our coffee hour? These are just some of the ways you can share your gifts with the people of God.

If you are not a member, but would like to help out in some way, we welcome your contribution.
